Vision
I am a director and screenwriter drawn to the estrangement of the familiar — exposing the artificiality, performance, and quiet distortions Western society claims as normal. I grew up and remain film-addicted, using cinema as a way of looking at the world when contradiction, discomfort, and excess feel unavoidable. Where others learned to smooth edges or look away, I learned to linger. Attention felt steadier than denial, and cinema became a way to examine the manufactured surfaces, rehearsed behaviors, and quiet violence embedded in everyday life. That orientation shapes the stories I tell. My work moves across genre, drawn to masculinity in crisis or absence, sexuality oscillating between repression and indulgence, and the absurd rituals that govern modern life. In my short films Une Charogne and The Body Politick, heightened, synthetic worlds emerge — anti-utopian environments shaped by image, performance, and spectacle — where intimacy becomes transactional and identity is something worn, tested, and undone. I’m interested in cinema as a space for calibrated excess and deliberate unease, using elegance, perversity, and humor to examine what we’ve built — and what it’s quietly doing to us.
